I've always had a human-centered approach to everything I do. At a very young age, I started brainstorming creative solutions for problems that hurt people the most. At just 8 years old, when my mom started the largest team in Colorado to join the Susan G. Komen Walk to cure breast cancer, I was right next to her with my white board thinking about how many lemonade stands I would need to sponsor her team. This passion for finding people-centered answers has always stayed with me. In college, I majored in women & gender studies, where I learned how to connect my empathy with my understanding of deep-rooted issues of oppression. After graduation, I was lost. I wanted to keep learning, to keep helping, and to keep understanding, but I didn't know which career path, if any, would align with my passions and goals. I was lucky to land a position as a receptionist at LinkedIn, with the intention of networking my way into a diversity and inclusion position. Instead, my networking led me to UX. I am so excited that I have found a field where I can solve problems, create solutions, and focus on people.

In 2020, at the start of Coronavirus, I lost my job. It's scary being unemployed in the middle of a pandemic. But it was also the perfect push for me to dive into UX. In September 2020, I started UX bootcamp at General Assembly. I graduate in December, and I am eager to continue this creative journey. If you're interested in working with me, please reach out!
